Dear parents and carers,
The School Council are setting up an affordable second-hand uniform shop in school this term. We recognise that the cost of new uniform can be daunting and want to ensure a good supply of second-hand uniform is available in one central place. This will also have the benefit of reducing the number of items ending up in landfill and will also raise funds for the school.
We will spend any profits on improving the students' experience, such as buying new sports team kit, maintenance of the school environment including seating areas and recreational areas, and any further improvements that are considered throughout the school year that will directly benefit and improve student life.
We intend to open the shop in the first weeks of the summer holidays this year ahead of the 2022/23 school year if sufficient donations are received. After the initial opening, we hope to run the shop on a half-termly basis with a view to expand this in the future.
Donations to the shop would be greatly appreciated- these can be left at Reception at any time. Opening times for the Shop will follow once we have organised the donations.
Yours sincerely,
Aleena Allen (Head Girl) and Adam Carpenter (Head Boy)
