​Stunning memento captures the drama of Sweeney Todd

FOLLOWING Ripon Grammar School’s sensational production of Sondheim's musical thriller Sweeney Todd, students and families can now enjoy a stunning photographic memento of the show.

Local photographer Helen Tabor has created a top-quality souvenir book, containing a chronological arrangement of photos and quotes from the show, which can be treasured for years to come.

Over 52 colourful pages, it captures the drama of our students’ West End worthy performances throughout the razor-sharp and bloody tale of revenge which had us all on the edge of our seats.

As past pupil Ms Tabor, and mother of cast member Jamie, says: "I performed myself on the RGS stage in my lower sixth year, and all that remains from that are a few 6 x 4 photos in an album, which are great to have, but don't show many scenes and it's impossible to recognise all the people in them, as the quality isn't that good.

“I wanted to produce a photo book for Sweeney, so when the students are my age, they have something special to show their children and grandchildren - and there's a cast list to remind them of everyone's name (as they will forget!).

“A show is ephemeral and once it's over, it's just a memory. I hope the photo book has captured those memories in the best way possible and everyone can look back and be really proud of all their hard work."
