LAW society members were able to discover more about entering the profession when a past pupil returned to talk about his experience.
Dominic Livesey, who studied law at Durham University, is embarking on the next stage of his journey towards becoming a barrister by studying for his master’s degree at the Inns of Court in London.
The students were able to discover Dominic’s route into the world of law, the A-levels he studied and all his extracurricular activities, including being part of the winning Bar Mock Trial competition at RGS.
He explained about national admissions test for law and the courses he studied at Durham, while giving them very useful hints and tips alongside recommended reading.
“This was a very useful session for the students and has given them a much better understanding of the route to take,” said head of careers Mr Walker.
“Our thanks to Dominic for taking the time to come back into school and speak to our students.”
