Gold honour for 26 past pupils

WE’RE very proud of the 26 past pupils invited to Buckingham Palace to collect their gold Duke of Edinburgh awards from Prince Edward in May.

Due to a pause in presentations because of the pandemic, RGS leavers from as far back as 2019 are being honoured this year

They are: Paul Ujjay, Lucy Simenacz, James Pilgrim, Alfred Goodwin, Ben Rickard, Freya Mosley, Matilda Lee, Richard Pulman, Emily Wilford, Emma Ibbotson, Charlotte Chapman, Amy Wilson, Jake Hewison, Alice Fundell, Phoebe Hall, Emma Bone, Sophie Pointon, Darcey Joia, Sophie Holt, Samuel Maddison, Jasper Wood, Hannah Cave, Aaysha Shahid, Romey Dawson, Angus Whatley, Ryan Allsop

Former RGS DfE coordinator Jamie Highton, who was involved throughout the years represented, attended on behalf of the school.

Current RGS coordinator Ruth Smith said: “It was a wonderful celebration of a huge amount of work by the young people - and particularly special for Jamie who supported them through the Award at RGS."
