GCSE students prepare for the future

RIPON Grammar School’s GCSE students have been preparing for the future as they consider their choices for sixth form study.

In addition to an address by head of sixth form Terry Fell, more than 125 students heard from current lower and upper sixth formers who talked about why they chose RGS Sixth Form and what they have gained from the experience.

Current sixth formers also set up and manned subject stalls, answering questions and offering lots of information from how much homework is involved, to what they find most challenging about the subject, what they enjoy most and what trips they can sign up for.

For external students considering joining RGS Sixth Form in 2025, there will be another opportunity to meet the sixth form team and students on Wednesday, January 29, from 2pm, when they can experience the sixth form in action.
