HIGH-FLYING RGS students interested in a career in aviation learnt from a leading expert in the field.
Sixth formers enjoyed a talk by Dr Michael Smith, chairman of the Schools’ Aerospace Careers Programme, accompanied by his colleague Michael Stokes.
Dr Smith, a military veteran with 20 years’ experience with the RAF headed a 40-minute question and answer session on aviation and employment trends.
He highlighted the fact that the demand for people to work in all sectors of aviation is set to rapidly increase in the next 20 years.
RGS will host an Aviation and Aerospace Engineering Day supported by the charity Aerospace Careers Programme on July 1.
