Aspiring aerospace engineer is on cloud nine

ONE student’s stellar GCSE results will help propel her towards her dream career in aerospace engineering.

Ripon Grammar School student Elizabeth Bordewich is on cloud nine after achieving nine of the top grades 9s and two eights.

The 16-year-old, from Burton Leonard, will now study maths, further maths, physics and French at A-level.

She has juggled her studies with working towards her Grade 8 in piano, alongside playing violin and a Saturday job in a bookshop, she says: “I'm really pleased with my results, especially astronomy which I found quite challenging.”
